A race of 16 games for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The total race time will be 3-4 hours for the top finishers (but most people should plan for longer). You can sign up here so people know you're participating, however signing up isn't neccessary. All you need to do is join the race via racetime.gg on the day of the race. You can watch the race on twitch.tv/SpeedGaming.

This is the 7th race in the series of Super 16 races. Join us as we play the best (and the "best") games of the SNES Library!

Game List

Games must be completed in the order shown.  All goals start from a new game and end when you've played up to and including the stage or boss specified in the goal.  You may use emulator, flashcart, or cartridges.  You should use the U version of the game for all games except Terranigma, which can be either J or PAL (translation patch allowed), and Puzzle Bobble, which can be either J or U.  You should use the default difficulty level unless the goal specifies a different difficulty.  All glitches are allowed unless mentioned in the rules below. No codes are allowed.  Use of turbo buttons is banned.  At the end of each goal you must wait 45 seconds before starting your run in the next game. This 45 seconds is used for swapping cartridges/ROMs and configuring your controls and settings for the next game.

NEW RULE: After the 8th game you must take a 120 second break instead of the usual 45 seconds (not in addition to).

Wild Guns
Intro plus 3 stages.
Timing begins when choosing a character. Timing ends when the score appears after beating the last stage.



Jungle Strike
Campaigns 1 and 2.
You may select the 2nd campaign again if you game over during it.
You may use this code for more lives

Zero: The Kamikaze Squirrel
Beat Tunnels 2.
The stage select code is allowed to return to where you game overed.
Timing begins when selecting Start on the title screen. Timing ends when the screen starts to fade out after beating Tunnels 2.



Puzzle Bobble / Bust A Move
Beat Round 25.
Either J or U version is allowed. You may use passwords to return to where you game overed.
Timing begins when selecting From The Beginning. Timing ends when Round Clear appears after beating Round 25.



Mega Man X2
Beat 8 Mavericks.
Timing begins when selecting Game Start. Timing ends when the screen starts to fade out after beating the last maverick.



Lemmings 2
Beat 2 Worlds.
Timing begins when pressing a button to begin the first stage. Timing ends when the results screen starts to appear after beating the second world.



Top Gear 3000
Beat System Zosmar, Easy.
Timing begins when selecting Start before the first race. Timing ends when the screen starts to fade out after crossing the last finish line.



Hagane: The Final Conflict
Beat World 4. No Major Glitches.
Wrong warps and zips are banned.
You may use the code for infinite continues.
Timing begins when pressing Start on the title screen. Timing ends when the screen starts to fade out after beating the 4th boss.



True Lies
Beat the Park stage.
You may use passwords to return to where you game overed.
Passwords are allowed to continue where you gameovered. You may only use passwords that were displayed during your run. We recommend being ready to take a screenshot or phone pic of the password in case you need it.
Timing begins when selecting New Game. Timing ends when the screen starts to fade out after beating the boss.



Super Adventure Island II
Beat Hiya-Hiya.
Timing begins when selecting a save file. Timing ends when the screen turns black after grabbing the item after the boss.



Demolition Man
Beat the game, Calm.
If you game over you can use a code to skip the already completed levels.
Timing begins when selecting Start. Timing ends when the congratulations screen starts to appear.



Ninja Gaiden Trilogy
Beat Act 3 in all games.
Games must be played in order.
Switch games when the screen begins to fade out after the score tallies up after the boss fight.
Timing begins when selecting Ninja Gaiden 1. Timing ends when the screen begins to fade out after the score tallies up after the Act-3 boss fight of the last game.



Kirby's Dream Course
Beat Course 2.
Timing begins when selecting OK on the file creation screen. Timing ends when Kirby gets in the hole on the last stage.



Metal Warriors
Beat Mission 6.
The infinite-contiues patch is allowed: LINK
Timing begins when choosing One Player. Timing ends when Mission Complete starts to appear after beating the sixth mission.



Terranigma
Beat Shadow Keeper.
J or PAL version is allowed. English translation hack is allowed.
Timing begins when confirming the file name. Timing ends when "Defeated Shadowkeeper!!" appears after beating the boss.



Castlevania: Dracula X
Beat the game, Bad ending.
Timing begins when selecting New Game. Timing ends when grabbing the last orb.
