A race of 16 games for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. These games have all celebrated their 25th (or 26th) anniversary and you can join us in racing them. The total race time will be approximately 3 to 3.5 hours for the top finishers (but most people should plan for longer). You can sign up here so people know you're participating, however signing up isn't neccessary. All you need to do is join the race via SpeedRunsLive on the day of the race. This is the fourth in a series of Super 16 races. Join us as we play the best (and worst) games of the SNES Library!

Game List

Games must be completed in the order shown.  All goals start from a new game and end when you've played up to and including the stage specified in the goal.  You may use emulator, flashcart, or cartridges.  You may use U or J version of the game.  All glitches are allowed unless mentioned in the rules below. No codes are allowed unless mentioned in the rules below. At the end of each goal you must wait 45 seconds before starting your run in the next game. This 45 seconds is used for swapping cartridges/ROMs and configuring your controls and settings for the next game.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors
Beat Level 8 (Toddler Boss)
Can use password to return to level 5 if you game over.
Timing begins at the player select screen.
Timing ends when the screen fades out at the end of Level 8.



Street Fighter 2 Turbo
Beat 3 opponents. Default difficulty. Any turbo level.
Timing begins at the character select screen.
Timing ends when "You Win" appears.



Goof Troop
Beat Stage 3 (Skeleton Bosses)
Timing begins at the "Player Select" screen.
Timing ends when "Stage Clear" appears.



Aladdin
Beat Stage 4 (genie stage).
Timing begins upon pressing Start at "Game Start" .
Timing ends when "Stage 4 Clear" appears.



Rock N Roll Racing
Beat Division B - Veteran Mode
Timing begins upon pressing Start at the "Start Race" menu.
Timing ends when you press the button to advance on the "Score needed to advance" screen.



Sunset Riders
Beat Smith Brothers (Level 4). Easy. 5 lives 5 Continues.
Timing begins at the character select screen.
Timing ends when the "1UP / REWARD $40,000" screen appears.



Mega Man X
Beat 8 Mavericks
Timing begins upon pressing Start at the "Game Start" menu.
Timing ends when the final Maverick begins to explode.



Secret Of Mana
Beat Spikey Tiger. Glitches Allowed. 1 Controller.
Timing begins upon pressing start after inputting your name.
Timing ends when the screen starts to fade to white.



Battletoads in Battlemaniacs
Beat Turbo Tunnel (Level 4).
The code to give you more lives and continues is allowed. You may use the J version (which gives 9 lives 9 continues) or the U version (which gives 5 lives 5 continues).
Timing begins upon pressing Start at the "1 Player" menu.
Timing ends when the screen cuts to black at the end of the Turbo Tunnel.



Skyblazer
Beat Petrolith Castle (Ice Level)
Timing begins upon pressing Start at the title screen.
Timing ends when "Power gained Star Fire" appears.



Equinox
Defeat Bonehead (Land 1)
Timing begins on pressing Start at the "Choose Game" menu.
Timing ends when "Well done Glendaal" appears.



ActRaiser 2
Beat Industen and Benefic. Easy Mode
Timing begins upon pressing Start at the "Game Start" menu.
Timing ends when "Benefic Clear!" appears.



Super Turrican
Beat World 3 (Ice Land). Normal difficulty.
Timing begins upon pressing Start at the title screen.
Timing ends at the end of 3-3 when the screen starts to circle-fade to black.



Cool Spot
Beat Wading Around (Level 4). Easy Mode
Timing begins upon pressing Start at the title screen.
Timing ends when "Unused time bonus" screen appears.



Cannon Fodder
Beat Mission 4
Timing begins upon pressing Start at the Hill screen.
Timing ends when "Mission Complete" appears after Mission 4-4.



Super Mario All Stars (Lost Levels)
Lost Levels Any% 8-4. Warps allowed. Save files allowed. Mario or Luigi.
Timing begins upon pressing Start at the "Mario game" or "Luigi game" menu.
Timing ends upon touching the axe at the end of 8-4.
